Skype Reinstall

After reinstalling my operating system the other day, one of the first things I did was reinstall Skype.

After installing it, I noticed that it now puts highlights phone numbers on web pages so you can call them in one click, this is sorta cool.

Later, I noticed it had autoloaded my entire address book from Outlook into Skype. This is not cool as I don’t remember being asked for permission to do this among other reasons. Any idea on how to revert this change?

Please let me know if you get any unexpected messages from me of any kind regarding Skype. Thank you.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want phone numbers on Web pages highlighted automatically – there’s too many widgets that are trying to clutter the browser, or improve services as I am sure they call it.

I see that you have no more errors – how was it resolved?!

      Hi David,

There must be a preference that you can change to avoid this issue in the future. I completely agree with you re having your entire address book uploaded to skype.

If you’re still interested in the conference call, would you be able to spend a half hour in the late evening (around 7:30/8 p.m. EST or any time on the weekend)?

P.S. Good luck with removing all of those numbers. I bet it’s a preference setting.
