I have a problem with T-Mobile and their coverage map as well. I was told before the map was on their website that I would be getting three bar coverage. I have no coverage or one bar for a few minutes at home and in my yard of one acre. I looked at the new map on their site and they have my street in the wrong place! They have one that doesn’t exist and one on the map that runs east and west and they show it north and south. I got no where when calling them. I was basically told that they don’t rely on the maps. His exact words were no two maps are alike and unless you go by a gps nothing is a guarantee. They won’t change the map and they pretty much told me I don’t know where my own house is or my neighborhood. I’ve lived here 35 years! They said as long as your within 20 miles of a tower they consider you three bars. I requested a tech come out to review the area. I was told a tech could come out, but they only go to the site of the tower to determine coverage. Um hello? I can’t wait for my two years is up. I’m basically paying for a phone I can’t use unless I drive away from my house. Oh and I only live one mile from a major two highway interchange so being near a highway is no guarantee either.

I think it depends on the Phone also. no matter what
carrier You go threw Your going to have Problems.
You could have At&t and have no problems. But go some where else and Guess what at&t it may not work. think T mobile is good company. they have gone out of there way to help customer’s. But there not
perfect. There making money all of them even Microsoft.Read the fine print of your phone, company. cell phone i mean alot of things depends
on buildings and maybe weather conditions. thank you four your

I would not hold my breath bro–the mobile operators aren’t most responsive when it comes to such things. What’s the benefit for them? Spend US$ 50k capex for a new cell for US$ 100 / month bill until you graduate? Your hope is that other people complain.

I think ‘I would like to see it fixed by…’ makes your chances even slimmer.

As a practical suggestion, think of changing a provider. Spend an extra US$ 10 (?) / month and get better coverage. Did you consider changing a handset?

I’m on a legacy plan that is way cheaper than any of the other offerings out there at present.

What provider and deal do you have?

Why do you use T-mobile? I know it’s good internationally, but do you find there are benefits to its use here?

Thanks for dropping in. I’ve never heard of a mobile provider doing that, but what you suggest makes total sense.

Perhaps this is another good example of where Asia is many, many light years ahead of the USA.

Such things may differ by each building even if it says, the area is fully covered. Don’t they have any extra home antenna for people like you?
