Well, same thing here. GMX is also getting blocked. Looks like there are some real geniuses at work at Microsoft, trying out a thing they have NO CLUE about: Security. Microsoft practises security by sledge hammer, meaning that they just block everyone or block all access to something, which if of course very secure (and not to mention totally idiotic and unusable)

Please go fix this problem ASAP, you are disrupting tons of legitimate e-mail traffic all around the world. It is important for people to know that the problem is on Hotmails (MS) side.

I’ve been dealing with this for years as well… and it isn’t just yahoo that they block. My server is Gate.

msn & hotmail both reject emails from one of my main accounts. Not all the time, which makes it even more frustrating.
Soooo many people have .msn & .hotmail accounts.
I don’t understand why.
And I’ve done the microsoft support online and phone call thing. My server can’t do anything about it. UGH!

Hello all,

This has been happening to me for years, and I am so tired of it, childish games with our business.

When client tell me they sent something and I don’t have it, the first sad question is, do you have Yahoo? This is sad.

I am trying to find a way around this, instead of using my other email account.

I just sent an email to a friend of mine with a hotmail account who I’ve been emailing regularly since Jan/Feb of this year. Just got the same message everyone else has been getting saying I’m now blocked because I am a spammer. I can’t even send email to my own persosonal hotmail account.

I just filled out the form and sent it in. Is this a new thing? Is there anything MSN can do sort of on a macro scale to solve the problems, as opposed to handling everything indivdually?

I am also having my Road Runner e-mails blocked by Hotmail and Live. My daugher is out of the country for two months and our only form of communication has been via e-mail. Unfortunately, I have a Road Runner account and hers is through Live. My e-mails have been delayed for days and others rejected completely and no one seems to be able to help. VERY frustrating!!

Just a philosophical question here : Who cares about hotmail? Why do we all have hotmail? Bill Gates says , he’s the only one who can make money on the internet not you,lowly peasants, how dare you.

There are dozens of free emails some with no adds, with all the features and more. I’ve got one its call inbox.com

Wake up people ditch Bill and at the same time you can switch to Linux.

Hello all

it all happend to me today
the worse thing is my brother is in hospital
and he is in coma , so I keep in contact with his friends to inform about his status
but now not many hotmail acount’s I can not send a email , I am thinking to get a lawyer becourse this is not normal to block people without any reason or to inform them
looks like Hotmail does not care about privacy but only care about spam

My Mom lives in North Carolina. I live in Pennsylvania. She is hearing impaired so email was a great way to stay in touch. Well, Hotmail is rejecting my comcast account…again! Very frustrating…and I can’t even call her to help her set up a different email account. grrrr…
I think in order to stop some of the SPAM they put a block on the domain instead of the address they were trying to block…

I use Hotmail, Yahoo & Gmail…all for different things (personal correspondence, contest entries, and business), and I must say this is really irritating. I also upgraded my Hotmail, and there are lines through all the email graphics when I get them…even ones sent from Microsoft. I hate this! I’m not even using the Hotmail account any more. I prefer my Yahoo, but I can’t send mail to my sister who is using Hotmail!

I use Hotmail and Yahoo mail. I receive things on my Yahoo and I send to me wife, who by the way is here in the same house on another computer. She uses Hotmail. My Yahoo messages to her are blocked by Hotmail, and Yahoo sends back a message telling me I am “Dirt” basically, sending wrong material…spam and the like.
I think it is time for people to realize it is time to DUMP all to do with Microsoft and get on with life without being influenced by a GREEDY corporation ! ( And that is what it is). I have already sent messages to all my friends that I am now using Yahoo, and if they want e-mails from me to use Yahoo !
Why doesn’t the US Grow up and see what this is really all about ! Greed is ruining the world, and only because people allow it to happen .
No big deal….once there was no internet….now….people panic because they are a victim of greed from a greedy company ! Dismiss them….simple isn’t it ?

I swear, It HAS to do with the new hotmail upgrade. One of my friends just upgraded his hotmail and emailed to tell me and when I replied I got that message. At first I thought my computer has a bot virus but I don’t do any pirating (of course…hehe). But I checked all of my email accounts and none of them were individually blocked so… it probably has to do with the recent up…downgrade.

I’ve been having this problem sending emails to hotmail from my comcast email as well…

SMTP: host 65.54.244.40: 550 SC-004 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for
policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because we have
received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP address. If you are not
an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet Service Provider for
help. Email/network admins, we recommend enrolling in our Junk E-Mail Reporting
Program (JMRP), a free program intended to help senders remove unwanted
recipients from their e-mail list: http://postmaster.live.com

i have been experiencing the same ’sender was rejected’ when i send from gmx to hotmail.

each time i’ve sent a question to WLH via the link below

.. . and to their credit they have allowed gmx.net within 12 hrs. however, 2 days later i get returned emails and have to submit another request. this has happened 3 times now.

this may not be a permanent solution but i think if everyone uses this link, WLH will begin to realise that their blocking policy of certain domains like this just isn’t a workable solution

Has happened to me 4 times this week. My questionable emails concern info to the cubscout troop about meetings. Really stuff worth blocking. Glad I do not use hotmail myself. I am meerely inconvenienced by their inability to function properly!

This is very true – all my replies to friends using hotmail addresses are being rejected because I am using Yahoo. Microsoft stink. I am telling all my friends not to use hotmail and use either yahoo or gmail.I hope it back fires on MSN.

Yep. It’s happened to me a bunch of times. About a month ago, I posted a question about this on a forum and it was suggested that my hotmail friend mark my contact as “safe.” That seemed to have worked for a while, until about 2 weeks ago, when messages sent to him were blocked again. Shouldn’t this fall under some kind of federal law against mail tampering? This is solicited mail that hotmail willfully refuses to deliver. email users unite!!

They are now blocking also web.de.

Yesterday I wrote a friend. Today he replied, but I could not reply him any longer.

I have a second account on web.de, and that’s blocked too.

This is so true. I was wondering when it’s gonna happen, I was planning like 2015 year or something, but this is outrages. No more Yahoo mails will be delivered to Hotmail or Live mail. Why?

Could it be the advertising text with the links that get attached to yahoos emails after the user sends it are being blocked on security grounds?Ironic, since hotmail now does the same thing to it’s outgoing mail.
Is there anyway to get them off the emails to test this theory, maybe by paying to get them taken off or something?

This is absolutely true.

I have friends with Yahoo accounts that are having all e-mail to my hotmail account blocked with the same message as posted above.

Does anyone know what is going on between these two companies?
