UK eMarketer Study on Mobile Social Media

Webpronews has a real nice summary of a recent eMarketer study on UK mobile social networking.

eMarketer quoted Reza Chady of Telephia says that, ”Social networking in the UK will spread from the PC to the street in 2007.”

Webpronews took it even further by pointing to this post on threadwatch.org. I mean this is a pretty eye opening quote: “Web 2.0, dude, who cares, where’s Phone 2.0? The web is for old people and losers.”

I’ve been saying that mobile search marketing was going to be big and changing in ways we haven’t yet fully realized. This quote is reframing, even for me. Where do you see these items changing social networks?
